The Dance of Serendipity

There really are only two forces in this world, Fear and Love.
As I step into this next chapter of rebuilding my coaching and healing business, I’m meeting both Love and Fear - sometimes both in the day.
Fear tempts me to control, hustle and cling on.
And Love... Love gives me an opportunity to remember to be brave, remain focused and surrender like my ancestors did as they voyaged Te Moana Nui a Kiva (the Pacific Ocean).
Life has shown to me many times before that when I surrender, life creates on my behalf, things that I could never orchestrate on my own.
As I set sail out into the unknown ocean of entrepreneurship once more, steering by feel, Im confidently guided by the knowledge handed to me by my elders/teachers to make choices based on the experiences Ive accumulated.
In this next chapter - I have the choice between two attitudes, Scarcity (Fear) and Serendipity (Love)
Scarcity tempts me give over to control, create from force, hustle, push, to be rooted in fear.
Serendipity asks me to surrender to all of these and trust in life, to be rooted in Love.
Different roots produce different fruits.
Serendipity according to definition is about the discovery of unplanned fortune, what seems like good luck or chance. After many years watching the dance of Serendipity, I see that its about being in the right place at the right time, unattached, not expecting anything and allowing life to show up and put on a show for me.
For a long time, the best I could come up with is its like Magic, where things align in ways that I could have never had planned or orchestrated. Now I know that Magic is driven by my choice of attitude.
Over the last 3 years Ive watched and waited for Serendipity to show up and observe her in action, afterward mapping her movements, trying to understand her magic.
Ive learnt through quiet observation that every time she’s shown up Ive been aligned to love and trusting in life
Ive softened
Ive chosen to prioritise my peace
Ive said ahh f*** it
Book the Limousine
She’ll be right
When pressure begins to build, Ive chosen to laugh instead of stressing
Ive trusted that I am always protected by the love of my tūpuna (ancestors)
Ive found my feet instead of stressing
I know life works in mysterious ways
I just don’t know when or how exactly and Im okay with that
Ive observed long enough to know when Im worried, trying to force and expecting, Im actually giving over to fear and getting in the way of life.
I also know when Im excited by what Im doing and who Im being, Im aligned and allowing Serendipity do her thing.
Ive just received my last monthly pay for the role Ive been in and in the coming weeks as I begin my lifetime voyage out into the deep blue, fear will have many an opportunity to fester.
The only choice I have to focus on is, to fall for fear or trust in the navigational skills of keeping my vessel aligned to Love.
If you’ve ever found yourself in that place between fear and love, dancing with surrender between scarcity and serendipity, then this one is for you too.
